In his lecture, as well as in his upcoming exhibition at Grazer Kunstverein, Högberg is trying to pose the question whether it is possible to speak with another, or on behalf of another — through a kinship felt across historical time. Various modes of installing paintings will be discussed, and maybe — perhaps likely — the conversation will wander into weaving, post-Fordist yoga strategies, sports bars,19th Century glossolalia, and why Pantone 448C is called the ugliest color in the world.
