Kaya Meller formed her quartet—which features trumpet, piano, double bass, and drums—in 2015 while studying in Austria. The quartet features her original compositions based on melodies, improvisation, rhythms and experience influenced by her studied in Boston as well as inspired by collaboration with the musicians from different countries.
