Viewing creativity as a process of "finding," the search reveals itself as an indispensable component of the artistic act of creation. Analogous to Orpheus, who, in attempting to retrieve something ostensibly "lifeless" from the underworld, heeds the prohibition on turning back to prevent the lost from slipping into oblivion, the search becomes a journey of blind faith, bringing the unknown to the light of the world.
