D| Die Forderung nach neuen Narrativen zur Bewältigung
der ökologischen Krisen ist allgegenwärtig. Doch was
sind diese „Narrative“ eigentlich? Wer erzählt sie, wem
nützen sie, und warum könnten ausgerechnet Geschichten
zu einem Hebel für gesellschaftliche Transformation
werden? Welche Rolle spielen dabei Literatur, Kunst und
ästhetische Praxis?
Der Vortrag fragt danach, wie Narrative Wahrnehmungen
ordnen, Komplexität reduzieren und unser Bild von Natur
prägen. Und er begibt sich auf die Suche nach zukunftsfähigen
Erzählungen, die unsere Beziehung zu Biodiversität,
zu mehr-als-menschlichen Akteur:innen und zu den verflochtenen
Räumen von Natur und Kultur neu denken.

E | The demand for new narratives to overcome ecological
crises is omnipresent. But what exactly are these ‘narratives’?
Who tells them, who benefits from them, and
why could stories, of all things, become a lever for social
transformation? What role do literature, art, and aesthetic
practice play in this process?
The lecture explores how narratives organise perceptions,
reduce complexity, and shape our image of nature.
It also embarks on a search for sustainable, future-proof
narratives that rethink our relationship to biodiversity, to
more-than-human actors, and to the intertwined spaces of
nature and culture.
