Daniel Bierdümpfl (A) + Marco Sickinger (D)

Marco Sickinger, Jahrgang 1998, ist Schlagzeuger und Komponist. Im Alter von sechs begann er seine musikalische Ausbildung am Klavier; zwei Jahre später folgte das Schlagzeug. Früh sammelte er Erfahrungen mit großen orchestralen Besetzungen. 2020 folgte das Studium des Jazz-Schlagzeug an der Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Künste Stuttgart, das er im Juni 2025 erfolgreich beendete. Er studierte dort u.a. bei Fabian Arends, Eckhard Stromer, Christian Weidner und Johannes Lauer. 2024 konzipierte und gründete er die Bandprojekte „et cetera“ und „Space in Between“. Mit letzterer veröffentlichte er im November 2025 das Album „Aporia I feat. Christopher Dell“. Außerdem kuratierte er von 2023 bis 2025 eine Jazz-Konzertreihe im soziokulturellen Zentrum Kulturkabinett e.V. in Bad Cannstatt, in der Künstler:innen wie das Vertigo Posaunen Quartett, Etienne Nillesen, Common Ground (Matthias Nowak, Sebastian Gille, Achim Kaufmann, Bill Elgart), Laura Totenhagen, Kathrin Pechlof Trio, Wanja Slavin und viele mehr gastierten.
Neben diesen Projekten bewegt er sich in Bereichen zwischen improvisierter Musik, Neuer Musik und Jazz.

Daniel Bierdümpfl is a VIENNA / LINZ - Austria based interdisciplinary Artist.

Daniel is a former luthier of plucked & bowed string instruments, he studied time based & interactive media arts at the Kunstuniversität Linz (AT) and works as a free lance artist in the fields of music, performance, theater, choreography, poetry, film & photography.

He was nominated among five other finalists for the Oe1 Jazz scholarship 2023 as well as one of six finalists I AM ABROAD 2024 Open Call (New European Project for Free Improvisation Artists) Vienna AT. He is the head of programming & production for Raumschiff Linz with a focus on contemporary, improvised and off-genre music & performance.
