D | Angesichts der Klimakatastrophe sucht das Projekt
„Future Narratives for Planet Earth“ nach neuen Narrativen,
die das Verhältnis zwischen Mensch und Natur
reflektieren. Donna Haraway zufolge ist die Fähigkeit,
sich alternative Handlungsstränge vorzustellen, eine
„Response-Ability“ und muss gelernt, geübt und gepflegt
werden. Die internationale Konferenz im Rahmen des
Festivals bietet eine Plattform für gemeinsames Überlegen:
Wie kann das Theater dabei helfen, die Zukunft
wieder als Raum der Möglichkeiten zu begreifen? Welche
Narrative ermöglichen es, die Zukunft nicht apokalyptisch,
sondern spielerisch zu denken?

E | In light of the climate catastrophe, the project ‘Future
Narratives for Planet Earth’ seeks new narratives that
reflect the relationship between humans and nature.
According to Donna Haraway, the ability to imagine
alternative storylines is a ‘response-ability’ and must be
learned, practised and cultivated. The international conference
held as part of the festival offers a platform for
joint reflection: How can theatre help us to once again see
the future as a space of possibilities? Which narratives
enable us to think about the future in a playful rather
than apocalyptic way?
